OUR MISSION

DNA STRANDS FROM START TO FINISH

Degraded DNA molecules have a story to tell. And what good is any story without an end? Traditional Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) methods alter or obliterate the native ends of DNA fragments. But we at Claret Bioscience are nucleic acid purists. Our mission is to leave molecules unaltered and deliver the complete DNA (and RNA) story from beginning to end.

 

 

What we do

At Claret Bioscience, we build NGS library preparation and analysis tools that empower a deeper understanding of degraded DNA molecules, with an emphasis on cell-free DNA (cfDNA). Our two main technologies are SRSLY and XACTLY. SRSLY, our Single Reaction Single-stranded DNA Library Prep Kit, produces complex libraries from 1ng of input cfDNA and is designed to capture a broad range of input molecule types. a robust enzymatic fragmentation module compatible with srsly

Quality of genomic DNA is highly dependent on the source, storage and extraction methods. DNA from formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) samples and herbarium specimens can be highly degraded and damaged.  These inputs types perform poorly with tradiitonal NGS  library preparation methods.

By combining SRSLY with a robust enzymatic DNA shearing module ForShear, we now provide an optimized workflow that generates high-quality sequencing libaries from gDNA that are compatible with Illumina® sequencing platforms, forshear!
